G E N E R A L   D E S C R I P T I O N

Arandel is a vast and diverse medieval country spanning from the chilly north to the warmer east. The nation is governed by a unified monarchy, consisting of one Golden Crown and Four Silver Crowns, who oversee four distinct regions known as Oreland, Wexford, Cierge, and Medina. With a long and rich history, Arandel is widely respected and admired for its strong cultural traditions and values. However, as of late, internal political tensions and struggles have been increasingly rising.

Arandel is renowned for its hard-working, resourceful and religiously devout people, who take great pride in their country's achievements and advancements. The nation boasts a diverse landscape, rich in resources, and is home to bustling cities, ancient ruins, and towering castles. Despite its internal conflicts, Arandel remains a beacon of innovation, art, and science, with its people continuously striving to push the boundaries of what is possible.


G E O G R A P H Y
Arandel is a diverse and expansive country, with a landscape that varies greatly depending on the region. The nation is divided into four distinct regions: Oreland, Cierge, Wexford, and Medina. Oreland is located in the northernmost part of Arandel and is characterized by its rugged mountains and dense forests. The region experiences a cold and snowy climate, with harsh winters and mild summers. The terrain is challenging and often treacherous, making it a difficult place to live for those who are not accustomed to the harsh conditions. It’s mountains are rich with metals, making it the industrial heart of Arandel.

Cierge is situated on the western coast of Arandel and is known for its fertile farmland and rolling hills. The region enjoys a mild and rainy climate, with abundant rainfall throughout the year. The fertile soil and abundant rainfall make it an ideal location for agriculture, and the region is known for its thriving farms and ranches.

Wexford is located in the eastern part of Arandel and is characterized by its vast grasslands and tall forests. The region experiences a temperate and warm climate, with mild winters and warm summers. It is teeming with wildlife and is well known for it’s strong horses.

Medina is situated in the southern part of Arandel and is known for its sandy deserts and scorching heat. The region experiences a dry and arid climate, with little rainfall and high temperatures throughout the year. The terrain is challenging and inhospitable, making it a difficult place to live for those who are not adapted to the harsh conditions. Despite this, the region has a thriving trade industry due to it’s bustling port city of F’Naar.

R E G I O N S    A N D    S E T T L E M E N T S
Oreland’s capital city is Kinlochleven, which is home to Kinlochleven Castle. Larger cities and towns of note are Glenhaven, Cairngorm, Strathmore, Lochshiel and Dundonell.

Cierge’s capital city is Tournoir, which is best known for the large Chatteux Ricardeux. Larger cities and towns of note are Belecour, Montagne-le-Loup, Valmont-sur-Mer, Saint-Eglisse and Chantefaire.

Wexford’s capital city is Fencaster, the location of the Church’s Fencaster Abbey. Larger cities and towns of note are Bedgewick, Stoneford, Blockmoor and Northeye.

Medina’s capital city is Reth. Larger cities and towns of note are Casalia, Tafra and Kazina. Casalia is the largest trade port in Arandel.
